Dear .................. ,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Mr. Shah
I am writing to express my intrest in teaching both of your's children about our language.
Regarding my exerience in teaching, I have years of consulting experience at AECC consultant. To be more specific, over there I have assigned to teach the laungauge to new comers who where willing to start their carrer as translater by speaking different laungage. I think with this teaching experience, I would be able to teach your childrens.
In another way, I can be available to help your family to plan a trip to any country, as I have a great knowledge and good experience about knowing different country. Let me know if you need any help in applying visa for any countrys.
I want this job to start a small self-financed bussiness where I can have my small team to help others in gaining knowlegde about different laungages. Also, it would be nice to have another source of income to fulfill my dreams.
I hope you will consider my request favourably, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Your faithfully,
Atharva

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you describe teaching experience, offer help with travel and visa arrangements, and explain that you want to build a language-related business and earn additional income. These ideas are relevant, and the purpose of the letter is clear. However, the suitability point needs fuller support: the account of teaching newcomers is difficult to follow, and you do not explain how you would teach the couple’s children specifically. Your offer to help the family is also quite general. Add a concrete example, such as planning child-friendly activities or helping the children practise your language in everyday situations, and explain how your experience would benefit them. This would make the response more fully developed and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall structure, with separate paragraphs for your teaching experience, additional help, and reasons for applying. The sequence is easy to follow, and phrases such as “Regarding my experience” and “Also” help signal the relationship between ideas. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some effective organisation. To make the progression more natural and cohesive, improve a few transitions: “In another way” does not clearly introduce an additional offer, and “over there” is an imprecise reference to the consultancy. Use direct links such as “In addition, I could…” and repeat or clearly name the organisation when needed. The closing is appropriate, though the greeting and sign-off should match the recipient and letter style.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the purpose, including “teaching experience,” “self-financed business,” “source of income,” and “consider my request favourably.” There is some attempt to use less common language, but spelling errors and imprecise word choices reduce accuracy and sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “intrest,” “laungauge,” “carrer,” and “knowlegde”; “knowing different country” is also an unnatural phrase. Choose familiar words accurately before reaching for more elaborate expressions, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording for your teaching background and the help you can offer would also make the letter sound more natural and professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple sentences and some longer structures, including “I want this job to start…” and “as I have a great knowledge…,” so there is an attempt to vary sentence forms. The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “both of your’s children” has incorrect possessive construction, “I have assigned to teach” is missing the appropriate passive form, and “your childrens” uses an incorrect plural. There are also issues with articles and sentence phrasing, as in “a great knowledge.” Review possessives, passive verb forms, plural nouns, and article use. More consistently accurate sentences, alongside the structures you already attempt, would strengthen control.
