Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the main purpose by offering to teach Gujarati and explaining your previous tutoring experience, and you give reasons for wanting the position, including developing your culture and needing work while seeking a data-analysis role. However, the response only partially covers the request: what else you could do for the family is not explained, and the reasons for your suitability are asserted rather than supported with details about how you teach children. The statement that Gujarati is “counted as third toughest” does not establish your qualifications. Develop each requested point directly—for example, mention helping with childcare or preparing Gujarati activities—and make your experience and motivation clear and professional.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter has a recognisable opening, body paragraphs and closing, and the ideas are generally grouped by topic: your background, your job search and your tutoring experience. This gives the reader some organisation. However, progression is uneven: the paragraph about needing work and finding a field job repeats your motivation without clearly connecting it to the family’s needs. Several long sentences join multiple ideas with commas, making relationships harder to follow, while “In addition to that” does not clearly introduce a new service for the family. Use one paragraph for each task point, connect ideas more precisely, and divide long sentences so the letter develops in a clearer sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “native language,” “tutor,” “work visa,” and “Data Analyst,” so the reader can understand your background and purpose. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “develop my Culture, Language and mind.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “teach them their own language” when you mean your language, “took an admission,” and “work something.” Spelling errors such as “Northen,” “speakes,” “thoughest,” and “gurantee” are noticeable and sometimes slow understanding. Choose conventional phrases and check spelling; precise, natural wording will make your qualifications more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the longer structures are often faulty, with frequent problems in sentence boundaries, articles, verb forms and agreement. For example, “I recently saw an advertisement in the newspaper, that you need a tutor” incorrectly separates the clause with a comma, while “I took an admission in the Perth college” has an inaccurate article and construction. The sentence beginning “I am from Northen part of India” also combines several ideas without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses. Check articles and verb forms, and use full stops rather than joining complete thoughts with commas.
