Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the three requested points: you describe your teaching experience, offer additional help such as transport and weekend activities, and give a reason for seeking the job. However, the response only partly fulfils the task because it changes key details: the advertisement is for teaching the couple’s language to their children, but you say they need help learning English, and you call them teenagers. Your reason—helping families with busy schedules—does not clearly explain why you personally want this particular job. The suitability claim about your teaching method is also asserted rather than supported with an example. Clarify the language and children’s ages, then develop your motivation and explain how your experience would benefit this family.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter has a recognisable opening, a main section containing your offers, and a closing with contact details, so the reader can identify its general purpose. However, the ideas are crowded into one long paragraph, and the progression between teaching experience, communication training, transport, volunteering, meals, and your motivation is not always clear. Repeated use of “Moreover” makes the linking mechanical, while the final reason for wanting the job feels disconnected from the earlier offers. Use separate paragraphs for your suitability, additional help, and motivation, and connect each idea with more varied, precise transitions. This would make the letter easier to follow without changing its relevant content.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “tutor,” “communication technique,” “volunteering,” and “schedule,” and the reader can generally understand the services you offer. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts less clear, such as “eanglish,” “teching,” “hetic,” and “fullfill.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “teaching English as a first language” may not mean what you intend, and “free pick up and drop service” is awkwardly expressed. Choose accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise language for your teaching experience and the family support you can provide would make the letter clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to combine ideas in longer sentences, for example by linking your experience to your teaching approach, but the response relies heavily on long, loosely joined structures. Errors in sentence boundaries and punctuation make some sentences difficult to process, particularly the sentence beginning “Moreover, i also train children” and continuing into the benefit to the children. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and verb forms, as in “many family have” and “i saw an advertisement that you are looking.” Capitalisation is inconsistent, and the closing sentence is not formed as a complete, natural invitation. Practise writing shorter, controlled sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
