Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you explain your suitability through your Malayalam degree and English ability, offer to help with the children’s schoolwork, and give a personal reason for wanting the position. These details make the letter relevant, and the promise that the children will learn your language adds a clear commitment. However, some points are less fully developed: for example, you could explain how your degree or teaching experience would help you teach children, and specify what practical help you could provide with their studies. The financial reason is understandable, but could be expressed more tactfully in a job application. A more appropriate greeting and a conventional closing would also make the letter better suited to its audience.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The ideas follow a generally understandable order, moving from your qualifications to extra help and then your reason for applying. Linking expressions such as “moreover” and “on the other hand” show an attempt to connect points. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the separate purposes of the letter are not clearly signposted. Some links are also mechanical or do not express the relationship accurately; “on the other hand” introduces an additional offer rather than a contrast. Break the letter into short paragraphs and use simpler, more precise transitions. The final “Thank you” does not provide a complete sign-off, so a conventional closing would help the reader recognise the letter’s ending.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the main message, including “language tutor,” “degree,” “communicate,” and “academic curriculum.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the letter less clear or less professional, such as “advertisment,” “childern,” and “curriculam.” Some phrases are also unnatural for this context, including “give you the promise” and “reduce the stress about their academic.” Choose accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for your qualifications, teaching approach, and possible family support would make the letter sound more confident and appropriate without requiring overly formal vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because my father has been diead last week” and a conditional in “if you give me this job.” The main ideas are usually understandable, but errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries are noticeable. For example, “I have degree” needs an article, and “my father has been … last week” uses an unsuitable tense construction; “if any doubt it would clear” is also difficult to follow grammatically. Several sentences run together without clear punctuation. Practise forming complete clauses and checking tense and subject–verb agreement, then use full stops to separate each main idea.
