I not only teach them your native langauge but also teach them our culture which everyone should follow. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You address the suitability point with relevant details, including your teaching experience, degree, and an award for teaching. However, the letter only partially fulfils the task: it does not explain what else you could do for the family, and your reasons for wanting the job are not stated. The claim that you would teach the children your language and culture is relevant, but the teaching approach and experience are not developed enough to make a convincing application. The opening also does not clearly identify the couple or refer naturally to their advertisement. To strengthen the response, cover all three bullet points explicitly, adding practical examples of family help and a clear personal reason for wanting to live and work in Australia.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic letter-like structure: an opening, a main paragraph about your qualifications, and a closing. The sequence within the main paragraph is generally understandable, moving from your experience to your teaching approach. However, there is no clear progression through all the task points, partly because the family-help and motivation points are absent. Linking phrases such as “To begin with” and “for instance” are used, but some connections are awkward or unclear, and the long main paragraph contains several different ideas. Organise the letter into focused paragraphs—suitability, additional help, and reasons for applying—and use clear transitions to guide the reader.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “professional teacher,” “teaching skills,” “culture,” and “suitable candidate.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “awarded with a prize,” though the phrasing is not natural. Several spelling errors and inaccurate word choices—“knowlegde,” “langauge,” “inititative,” and “expects”—make the writing less polished and occasionally slow the reader. Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “expressing this letter” and “get involve.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning natural collocations for applications and teaching, for example, “I am writing in response to your advertisement” and “encourage the children to participate.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a sentence explaining your teaching method with “for instance.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the letter difficult to follow. For example, “I believe I would be suitable for this work, I have…” joins two complete ideas incorrectly, while “I hope this email finds, I waiting fot your reply” has incomplete and incorrectly formed clauses. There are also problems with articles, verb forms, and punctuation, such as “for couple of years” and “I will explain … and then involve them.” Use shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas with accurate conjunctions and check each sentence for a subject and verb.
