Student answer (Band 6.5)

The technology makes everything easier for everyone such as mobile application uses for various different purposes. This thing become so common. I will discuss their advantages and disadvantages in the following paragraphs.

on the advantages side, firstly, main the Convenience and Portability which eliminates the need to carry a bulky physical wallet, cash, or multiple credit and debit cards. It allows users to complete transactions quickly with a simple tap, scan, or face/fingerprint authentication. The another one is enhanced security which utilizes advanced security measures such as bio metric authentication (fingerprint, facial recognition), two-factor authentication, where actual card numbers are never shared with merchants. If a phone is lost or stolen, apps can be remotely locked or wiped, whereas cash or a lost physical wallet is usually gone for good.

On the other side of disadvantages is the technological Dependency and Device failure most of the transactions rely entirely on a charged battery, a working smartphone, and an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data). A dead battery or network outage leaves the user unable to pay.The another one is digital exclusion it can be a disadvantage specific populations such as the elderly, low-income individuals, or those with limited digital literacy who may not own a smartphone or feel comfortable navigating mobile apps.

In my conclusion, the people have to control on the apps they are using for the daily life. they have to make protactive layer in their banking apps so no one can use their money and do not theft it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both advantages and disadvantages, fulfilling the prompt's requirements. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention convenience and security as advantages, and dependency and digital exclusion as disadvantages, these points could be expanded with more specific examples or deeper analysis to reach a higher band. The position is clear, but the conclusion is slightly disconnected from the main body, focusing on user advice rather than summarizing the balance of the argument. To improve, ensure each point is fully extended with a clear explanation of its impact.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'firstly', 'on the other side', and 'in my conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions are awkward, such as 'The another one is'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the paragraphing, while present, could be improved by ensuring each paragraph has a strong topic sentence that clearly introduces the central theme. Improving the variety of linking words would enhance the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'authentication', 'digital exclusion', and 'portability'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'do not theft it' (should be 'prevent theft') and 'the people have to control on the apps' (should be 'exercise control over'). The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the sophistication or precision required for higher bands. Focusing on collocations and more natural phrasing will help elevate your lexical score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('The another one'), subject-verb agreement, and prepositions. For example, 'This thing become so common' should be 'This has become so common'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods in several places. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and sentence construction.
