Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all parts of the task by identifying both advantages and disadvantages of mobile payment apps. Your position is clear from the introduction, and you provide relevant examples, such as Amazon Pay in India and security concerns in the UK. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'cyberbullying' is not entirely accurate in this context; you likely meant 'cybercrime' or 'financial fraud'. To improve, ensure your arguments are more precisely articulated and fully explored. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, maintaining a clear focus on the prompt throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Nevertheless', 'In conclusion', and 'For instance' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. For example, the transition 'This is say' is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the logical progression. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as the use of 'they' when referring to mobile applications. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your main points clearly. You use topic-specific terms like 'promotion codes', 'discounts', and 'cyber attack'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'oftenly' (instead of 'often'), 'convinient' (spelling error), and 'coupan' (spelling error). Furthermore, the phrase 'cyberbullying' is misused here, as it refers to harassment rather than financial theft. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring correct spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include missing articles ('the' mobile app), incorrect verb forms ('If someone using'), and subject-verb agreement errors ('there are number advantages'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain errors that detract from the overall accuracy. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
