Student answer (Band 6.0)
Paying for the stuff by cellphone is becoming more popular nowadays in many countries. I will discuss further about it is good or not.
As many countries are evolving, people there are more tend towards using technology. Now they have started using cellphone apps to pay for the stuff as it is connecting to their bank account. According to the technology, it is a good development of digital card to pay for the things. Now a days folks do not like to carry physical cards instead they like to just tap the phone to pay it is much easier.
Another thing is, carrying actual bank cards is risky as sometimes it gets stolen, sometimes it stops working because of chip so it is best development of digital card and it is convenient too just need to grab a phone when you go somewhere. Now people do not have to worry about their cards and payments. Only some countries have not implemented this but many countries are using this method to pay.
It also has disadvantage like there is no trek of how much we have spend until and unless we open and check our digital bank account. If we use cash we know how much we need to spend and how much we have we can keep trek of everything but with digital card system we can not.
Overall, It is good to use cellphones to pay for the stuff and it is very awesome development and design engineers have made.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of mobile payment apps. However, the development of ideas is quite limited and superficial. For instance, the argument regarding the lack of 'trek' (tracking) of spending is a relevant point, but it is not fully explored or supported with concrete examples. The position is clear, but the overall response lacks the depth required for a higher band. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations or real-world examples to ensure the response is more comprehensive.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite basic and sometimes repetitive (e.g., 'Another thing is', 'Now', 'It also has'). The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the transition between the benefits of convenience and the drawbacks of spending control. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and phrases, such as 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'on the other hand', to create smoother transitions between your sentences and paragraphs.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. You frequently use informal or imprecise phrasing, such as 'stuff' and 'folks', which is not suitable for an IELTS essay. Additionally, there are some word choice errors, such as using 'trek' instead of 'track' and 'connecting to' instead of 'connected to'. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more academic vocabulary and ensure that your word choices are accurate and appropriate for a formal context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'people there are more tend towards' (should be 'tend more towards'), 'it is connecting to' (should be 'it is connected to'), and 'there is no trek of how much we have spend' (should be 'spent'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not completely impede communication. Increasing your control over verb tenses and sentence construction will significantly improve your score.
