Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the topic of mobile payment apps, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention both advantages and disadvantages, the arguments are often vague or tangential. For example, you discuss job-seeking apps like LinkedIn and gaming apps like BGMI, which are not directly related to the core topic of mobile payment systems. The position is somewhat clear, but the lack of specific, relevant examples regarding payment technology makes the response feel under-developed. To improve, ensure your examples directly support the prompt's focus on financial transactions rather than general mobile phone usage.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the use of 'Although' at the start of a sentence without a following clause, or 'Those app who give me'. Referencing is frequently unclear, making it difficult to track the relationship between sentences. To improve, focus on using transition signals like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'on the other hand' more accurately to link your ideas logically.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'apps', 'usage', and 'things'. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'global world', 'dopomine form brain', and 'threat form some people'. Some phrases are non-idiomatic, which occasionally impedes the flow of communication. To achieve a higher score, you should aim to use a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary related to finance and technology, and work on improving your spelling and collocation accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often cause difficulty for the reader. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Many application is used'), verb tense (e.g., 'Some people was thinking'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'Those app who give me'). Complex sentence structures are attempted but are almost always faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that articles and prepositions are used correctly. Reducing the number of errors in simple sentences should be your primary goal.
