Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, most of the countries have adapted uisng mobile phones to do transactions. It has became super convenient for everyone to use smartphones for payments through applications. It has it's own advantages and disadvantages, In my opinion improvement in these softwares give multiple advantages.
Firstly, this modern technology is radpidly evolving to have better user interface for everyone. Due to which it has lead most of the consumers to evolve which made everyone use the devices to do the transactions easily without any interuption. For example, purchasing groceries online through applications makes it more reliable rather than purchasing offline. This saves alot of time for consumers who have busy schedule.
Secondly, having this much accessibility makes people lazy. This is convenient for people who has no time to purchase it offline, but there are consumers who are not busy and still rely on it. For instance, consumers who have time to go out and purchase groceries, dependant on this apps to order it online, which impacts on their health like not being fit physically. On top of that, this can also make you addicted while ordering online. As it plays a huge role in psychology, where purchasing items online feels like a gift is arriving. This changes the mentality of the consumer and they end up buying more online.
In conclusion, using modern smartphones has significant advantages like easy virtual payments which goes without any interruption. Moreover, using public buses has become convenient through tapping your electronic devices which is fast and secure. While on the other hand, it has disadvantages where people use it more often through online sites to order clothes and other equpipments instead of going offline.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of mobile payment apps. You clearly state your position in the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding physical fitness is a bit tenuous and lacks a strong logical link to mobile payments specifically. While you provide examples like grocery shopping and public transport, the explanation of why these are advantages or disadvantages could be more deeply explored to reach a higher band. The conclusion introduces new information (public buses) that was not mentioned in the body paragraphs, which is a minor structural weakness.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions are slightly awkward, such as 'Due to which it has lead most of the consumers...'. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between the ideas in the second paragraph could be smoother. Overall, the progression of ideas is logical, but the use of cohesive devices lacks the flexibility required for a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'transactions', 'accessibility', and 'mentality'. However, there are several spelling errors ('uisng', 'radpidly', 'interuption', 'equpipments') and some word choice issues, such as 'it has became' (should be 'become') and 'dependant on this apps' (should be 'dependent on these apps'). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, the frequency of errors and the reliance on somewhat simple phrasing prevent a higher score. Expanding your range to include more precise collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people who has no time', 'it has it's own advantages') and punctuation errors, such as the comma splice in the introduction. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed accurately without missing articles or incorrect verb forms.
