Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, technological advancements in cellphones are rapidly increasing worldwide. Most of the people uses mobile phone apps for making a payment and it seems like a routine for them. I think this Innovation have more advantages.
Firstly, paying your bills using mobile phone apps is a phenomenal revolution in past ten years. A decade ago, we were using paper money or a cheque which was risky and inaccurate at times. Earlier method was extremely time consuming. For instance, I went to purchase a laptop with my father in 2014. We were already late for buying a laptop because from the next day my college was about to start and laptop was a requirement to attend the class. We select one laptop and my father offered the store manager a cheque.
However, they told us you will have to wait for the pick up till cheque clears in 2-3 business days. We couldn't wait at that time so we went to the bank and withdrew 50,000 Indian Rupees. When we reached at laptop store, I realized that we are 2,000 Rupees short as few notes were missing from my pocket. May be it fell down when I was riding a two wheeler vehicle or somebody stole it. But, If I want to spend even 100,000 Indian Rupees, I can instantly do that from my cellphone in few seconds with google pay application.
All in all, I find this development extremely crucial due to my past experiences. This risk averse and time saving process is beneficial for most of the individuals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that mobile payments have more advantages. However, the development is somewhat unbalanced. While the personal anecdote about the laptop purchase is relevant and illustrative, the essay lacks a broader discussion of the topic, focusing almost exclusively on one specific experience. To reach a higher band, you should broaden your arguments to include other advantages, such as security, global accessibility, or economic efficiency, rather than relying on a single narrative. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the points made.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the personal example and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'However', and 'All in all', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the connection between the general statement in the introduction and the specific anecdote could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the overall structure is easy to follow, though the development within the paragraphs could be more sophisticated.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'technological advancements', 'phenomenal revolution', and 'risk averse'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'risk averse' (which usually describes a person's personality rather than a process) and 'two wheeler vehicle' (which is slightly redundant). The vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, but it lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. Expanding your repertoire of collocations and topic-specific terminology would improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'Most of the people uses' (subject-verb agreement), 'Innovation have' (subject-verb agreement), and 'laptop was a requirement' (missing article). Additionally, there are punctuation and phrasing issues, such as 'When we reached at laptop store' (incorrect preposition). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
