Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages of mobile payment apps. You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide personal examples, such as the AMEX points, the discussion on disadvantages is entirely absent, which prevents a balanced exploration of the topic. To reach a higher band, you should acknowledge potential drawbacks (e.g., security risks or digital exclusion) to provide a more comprehensive argument. The ideas are relevant, but the overall depth of analysis could be improved by expanding on the broader societal implications rather than focusing solely on personal convenience.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Moreover', 'In addition', and 'In conclusion', to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'further more' (which should be one word) and 'In my thought' (which is not a standard cohesive phrase). Additionally, some sentences are disjointed, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help the flow of your writing feel more natural and sophisticated.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'advancement', 'deactivate', and 'monitoring'. However, there are several errors in word choice and spelling that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'benifical' (beneficial), 'myraids' (myriads), and 'runt' (rent). You also struggle with collocations, for example, 'paying by mobile apps are have great significant' is awkward and grammatically incorrect. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic words and practicing how to use them in natural collocations rather than relying on repetitive phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('peoples use... were increasing', 'People does not have to carry'), incorrect verb forms ('if your wallet lost somewhere'), and punctuation errors. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to be distracting. You should focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your verb tenses are consistent, particularly when describing personal experiences or general facts.
