Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays peoples are becoming increasingly dependent on online platforms to maintain their friendship and social relationships. Although this trend has some negative effects, i believe there is positive development because it make easy to communicate and help to stay connected.
On the one hand a major advantage of the platform is that they allow people to communicate easily, even when they live far from each other. People can use such App like Facebook, Whatsapp to communicate via video calls. For example a person who live in another country can still communicate with their loved once on regular basis. this can help people to maintain their relationships.
People can make new friends via using this app. People can join online groups based on their interest, such as music or education. Online platform are specially devlope for those person who had difficulty to make new friend in real life. For example there are so many app are available where we can make friends with the same interest. People can find their soul mate by using these app.
However, there are also some disadvantages. People who spend to much time online may have less interest in real life conversation with their friends. Apart from that sometime online communication create mis understanding because other person can not see the emotion or body language.
In conclusion, Depending to much on online platform can have negative effect such as Access use of these platform had negative effect on real life maintaining real life relation. I personally believe that there are more positive effect. People can enjoy the benefit of online platform while maintaining relationship in real life also. Access use of these platform had negative effect on real life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response addresses the prompt, but there is a significant issue with topic relevance. The prompt asks about 'paying for things using mobile phone apps' (digital payments), whereas the essay discusses 'online platforms' and 'social relationships'. Because the student misinterpreted the core topic, the task achievement is severely limited. While the student provides a clear position and some supporting ideas, the failure to address the specific subject matter of mobile payments means the response does not fully meet the requirements of the task. The ideas are relevant to the topic of social media, but not to the prompt provided.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. There is a basic attempt at logical progression, using transition signals like 'On the one hand', 'However', and 'In conclusion'. However, the cohesion is often mechanical or repetitive. For instance, the concluding paragraph is disjointed and contains repetitive phrases like 'Access use of these platform had negative effect on real life', which appears twice. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors, making the overall progression feel somewhat disjointed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. The student relies on basic terms such as 'people', 'communicate', 'apps', and 'online platforms'. There are several word-choice errors, such as 'Access use' (likely meaning 'excessive use') and 'devlope' (spelling error). The range is insufficient to demonstrate precision or flexibility. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of variety and the frequent errors in word formation and collocation prevent the response from reaching a higher band. More sophisticated vocabulary related to financial technology or digital trends is entirely absent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('peoples are', 'it make easy', 'app are available'), article usage, and pluralisation ('loved once' instead of 'loved ones'). Sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas and incorrect capitalisation. While the meaning is usually clear, the density of errors is high, and the control over basic grammatical structures is inconsistent, which significantly impacts the overall quality of the writing.
