Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address both advantages and disadvantages, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack clarity. For instance, the point about 'AI generated video sites' is confusing and does not clearly explain how mobile payments relate to the benefits of the technology. Furthermore, the conclusion is entirely missing, and the final sentence is incomplete, leaving the task unfinished. To improve, you must ensure all parts of the prompt are fully explored with sufficient supporting evidence and a clear, logical structure that leads to a definitive conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows some attempt at paragraphing, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and often mechanical, such as 'to begin with' and 'on the other hand'. Some sentences are difficult to follow due to poor phrasing, such as 'to explain it their are some sites that are not good if there is payment method'. The lack of a clear introduction and conclusion, combined with the abrupt ending, makes the overall flow disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by well-connected supporting ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. You rely on simple terms like 'good', 'bad', and 'things'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'dispoint the person' instead of 'disappoint the user' and 'wastes of the money' instead of 'a waste of money'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to technology and finance, and focus on using words in their correct grammatical context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('there are so many websites, apps need'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack proper punctuation, which hinders readability. For example, 'most of people have no that much money that get' is grammatically incorrect and incomplete. You rely almost exclusively on simple sentence structures. To improve, you need to practice forming complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions and ensure you proofread your work to correct basic errors in tense and word order.
