Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages of mobile payment apps, such as convenience and accessibility for the elderly. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. The position is clear, but the argument lacks depth and fails to explore the 'disadvantages' side of the prompt, which is necessary for a balanced discussion. The ideas are presented in a list-like fashion rather than being fully extended with specific, well-supported examples. To improve, you should aim to provide a more nuanced argument that acknowledges potential drawbacks, such as security risks or the digital divide, to demonstrate a more comprehensive understanding of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression of ideas is often disjointed. There is a heavy reliance on simple, repetitive sentence structures, and the use of cohesive devices is minimal and sometimes inaccurate (e.g., 'In concluded that statment'). The transitions between ideas are often abrupt, making the text feel like a series of isolated thoughts rather than a cohesive argument. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') to connect your sentences and paragraphs more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, often relying on simple terms like 'good', 'help', and 'advantage'. There are several instances of non-standard word usage and spelling errors, such as 'crusuval' (likely meaning 'crucial'), 'comming', 'billes', and 'aslo'. These errors occasionally make it difficult for the reader to follow your intended meaning. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your vocabulary to include more precise, topic-specific terminology related to technology and finance, and pay closer attention to accurate spelling and word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The grammatical range is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure (e.g., 'Many person use this one', 'most of people have not using wallet'). These errors are persistent and often impede the flow of the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of complex structures and the high frequency of basic grammatical mistakes prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency.
