In many countries, paying for things using mobile phone (cellphone) apps is becoming increasingly common. Does this development have more advantages or more disadvantages?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this advanced technological era, mobile app become indispensable part of our life. Such as mobile transection apps. In several countries, this apps are becoming more popular. It can be more convenient as well as dangerous. This essay will discuss the both points.

To commence with, it has plenty of advantages, such as conveniency, affordability, and easy transection records. It can be straightforward for people to carry in smartphones which can prevent from pocket snatching. It has smooth transection of money. People do not need to carry cash all the time. Moreover, it gives crystal clear records of spending. So, a person do not need to stress about where their money goes.

On the other hand, it has numerous disadvantages. First, is cyber crime. Recent news in Times of India, stated that a person got scammed by the paying app. As he got link from that app and whole account got empty. This app can be harmful for people who have hefty amount in apps like phone pays, UPI, or so on. Secondly, it make people dependent. Because it only works when there is internet. Sometimes it cut the money but did not succeed. Furthermore, this type of apps do not suitable for aged people and who is not tech-savvy.

To recapitulate, paying apps become more famous globally. As large number of population utilizing. It has both pros and cons. Although, it gives numerous benefits, a person should only rely on government approved apps rather than private or unknown apps who gives more perks.
