Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is an undeniable fact that, technology becomes an inseparable part of modern society, it influence the way people live, work and communicate by offering benefits along with challenges. However, in several nations, people prefer to use mobile apps to pay their bills rather than cash flow. I deem that this is a positive development and there are a myriad of reasons behind this phenomenon that I will explain in the upcoming paragraphs.
To commence with pros, firstly, it is more convenient. For example, people do not need to visit bank for withdrawing the money that not only utilize their productive time but also save their transportation cost. Secondly, in today's era, most of the online shopping platform not having a option to pay their bills through cash so on that situations it become a need of an hour. Thirdly, using cellphone apps to pay expense is more secure instead of cash. To explicate it, when people use their credit or debit card to pay bill for their merchandise and bank always send a otp code or confirmation before procceding the payment that prevent them from scam.
Moving towards the cons, the main point is that it is quite arduous for people to use their cellphone apps in rural areas where network issue is a common problem. Another thing is that, in any circumstances when person forgot to charge their phone battery and it shut down automatically. In this scenario they are not able to use this app as a result they have to take help from other individuals.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that, technology makes individuals lives more easier. Although it offers certain disadvantages assosciated with technology development, its advantages are more significant overall,

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of mobile payment apps, and the writer takes a clear overall position that the development has more advantages. Ideas are generally relevant, though some arguments are rather basic and could be better extended. For example, the point regarding network issues in rural areas touches upon a valid disadvantage, but lacks deeper development regarding the broader socio-economic implications. Overall, the content satisfies the requirements of a Band 6.0 performance, as the task is addressed adequately and a clear stance is maintained from the introduction through to the conclusion, despite the tendency to over-generalise or under-develop certain supporting points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The text presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised to separate the pros, cons, and introductory/concluding thoughts. However, cohesion at the sentence level is occasionally mechanical or faulty. The writer relies heavily on sequential signposts such as 'To commence with pros, firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Thirdly', which creates a somewhat rigid transition style. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'in any circumstances when person forgot to charge their phone battery and it shut down automatically', which lacks proper structural integration with the surrounding clauses. These issues place the response firmly at a Band 6.0 level for this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student displays an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'inseparable part', 'phenomenon', 'transportation cost', and 'arduous'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word form throughout the text. Examples include 'cash flow' instead of just 'cash', 'not having a option' (grammatical slip affecting leaxe), 'pay expense' instead of 'pay expenses', and 'assosciated' (spelling error). Furthermore, terms like 'otp code' reflect colloquial phrasing rather than precise academic style. These limitations prevent the response from achieving a higher score, positioning it comfortably at Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over structure. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are several noticeable errors, such as 'It is an undeniable fact that, technology becomes an inseparable part..., it influence...' (comma splice and agreement error), 'that not only utilize' (missing subject/verb agreement), and 'most of the online shopping platform not having a option' (missing auxiliary verb and article issues). Punctuation errors also occur, such as trailing off in the final sentence with a comma instead of a full stop. While these errors do not severely impede overall communication, their frequency prevents the essay from reaching a Band 7.0.
