Student answer (Band 5.0)
In many states of the world, number of people increasing rapidly spending in the mobile phone apps and it is very common among youngsters.
Firstly, There are some advantages including Technology plays a good role in development. Nowadays everyone has a phone and many cellphone consists of several apps. But these are important for us. Because without them we cannot access our life. Every app such as Spotify, Amazon, Jiohotstar and so on. They all ask for subscription. For instance such as Physio AI app it is used by Physiotherapist's. As I am a Physiotherapist, firstly they do not ask for subscription. I used to give mcq test and clear my doubts through it. But now it also askfor subscription for premium quality.
Secondly, It has disadvantages also such as many apps are used by teenagers. Also many contain false information and sexual videos also. These are not good for their physical and mental well-being. Another thing is many apps are available for games and children invest money on that unusual apps without informing their parents. Furthermore, everyone cannot afford money for example many children wants to watch movies or series on the Netflix. But it als ask for subscription for month, year.
In my opinion, I believe this development have more advantages than diasvantages. Because it depends on person. If they use it wisely, because through this we can get knowledge and relevant information.
In conclusion, It has both benefits and drawbacks. We can study and enjoy through these apps. But on the other hand we can even distract also.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response attempts to address the prompt regarding the advantages and disadvantages of using mobile phone apps for payments and other purposes. The writer takes a clear position in the opinion paragraph, stating there are more advantages. However, the development of ideas is limited and sometimes confusing. For instance, the discussion wanders into app subscriptions and inappropriate content for teenagers rather than focusing strictly on mobile payment technology. Examples like the Physio AI app are somewhat personal and under-developed, meaning the task is addressed only partially, aligning closely with a Band 5 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, including an introduction, body paragraphs, an opinion paragraph, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by abrupt shifts in topic and poor transitional flow. Sentences like 'Firstly, There are some advantages...' and the misuse of cohesive devices make the structure feel mechanical and disjointed. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as 'these are important for us' without a clear antecedent. Overall arrangement demonstrates basic organisation, but cohesive devices are inadequate and repetitive, fitting a Band 5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently impeded by word choice errors and incorrect word forms, such as 'spending in the mobile phone apps', 'cellphone consists', and 'unusual apps' when meaning 'unusual in-app purchases'. Less common lexical items are attempted but generally used incorrectly or awkwardly, such as 'premium quality' and 'diasvantages'. While communication is occasionally maintained, noticeable errors in spelling, collocation, and word form cause difficulty for the reader at times, placing this response at Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but these are frequently marred by basic grammatical errors. Issues include subject-verb agreement errors ('many children wants', 'development have'), fragment sentences ('Because without them we cannot access our life'), and incorrect prepositions ('spending in the'). Punctuation and capitalization are also erratic ('Firstly, There'). Frequent errors in grammar and sentence structure can cause difficulty for the reader, which is characteristic of a Band 5 grammar profile.
