Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 4.5)
Ofcourse, paying for the mobile apps are more common now-a-days .According to my point of view it is quite disadvantageous because first they make the users dependent on such apps and them they start charging for them when one becomes fully dependent on them. Some people don't afford them and they left with no options as they totally in the habit to relay on such apps.
People with busy schedule are the ones who relay on them the most because for their routine work such as making notices for meetings in the offices and sending homework to the students by the teachers etc.In todays era all of such work is done on some kind of apps like Chatgpt,Gemmi etc. Even I am also dependent on Chatgpt for preparing my notes, generating tests my self . Along with this it also helps me to get my lessons in easier way as it transform my whole lessons into the most simpler one.
I want to suggest that the subscription forsuch apps should be kept in the reach of its audience so that they can able to use them at their convenience. As we all find it diffcult to completely restrict their because now they are a part of life. So,the steps should be taken in the concern of both the parties in such a way that it doesn't hinders the development of apps and should be pocket friendly for the users also.By implying such subscriptions they are discomforting their users and the users are forced to use or to move any other platform to do their work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response attempts to address the prompt regarding whether mobile payment apps have more advantages or disadvantages, taking a clear position that they are disadvantageous due to subscription models. However, the student has misinterpreted the core premise of 'paying for things using mobile phone apps' (such as Apple Pay or digital wallets for purchasing goods) and instead discusses productivity software and AI tools like 'Chatgpt, Gemmi'. As a result, the discussion of the task is significantly derailed into software subscriptions rather than mobile payment methods. While ideas are presented regarding dependency and costs, the confusion over the prompt's core topic prevents full or accurate task fulfillment. This places the response in the lower bands for task response because the main thrust of the argument addresses a different topic altogether.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay lacks clear logical organization and progression throughout. Paragraphing is poorly handled, with the second paragraph merging distinct ideas about busy schedules and AI tools without adequate transitional signposting. Cohesive devices are minimal and sometimes inaccurate, such as using 'them' and 'they' with ambiguous referents (e.g., 'first they make the users dependent on such apps and them they start charging'). The flow is frequently interrupted by abrupt shifts in topic and poor sentence linkage, making it difficult for the reader to follow a cohesive line of argument. Referencing is often unclear, which further detracts from the overall readability and structural integrity of the essay.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The lexical range is limited and basic, with frequent vocabulary errors and inappropriate word choices that stem from the misunderstanding of the topic. The student confuses payment apps with AI tools and uses terms like 'Gemmi' (Gemini) and general phrases such as 'routine work such as making notices for meetings'. There are noticeable spelling errors ('Ofcourse', 'now-a-days', 'Gemmi', 'diffcult', 'implied' intended as 'applying') and awkward collocations like 'relay on' instead of 'rely on'. While the vocabulary is adequate to convey a basic personal viewpoint, the inaccuracies and limited resource prevent the score from reaching a higher level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The writing displays a very limited range of structures, with frequent grammatical errors that often cause difficulty for the reader. There are persistent issues with article usage, subject-verb agreement, and prepositional phrasing (e.g., 'Some people don't afford them and they left with no options as they totally in the habit to relay on such apps'). Run-on sentences and comma splices are common, such as in the concluding paragraph ('As we all find it diffcult to completely restrict their because now they are a part of life. So,the steps should be taken...'). Complex structures are attempted but are generally faulty, and basic punctuation and spacing around punctuation marks are poorly controlled throughout.
