Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of using mobile payment apps, fulfilling the basic requirements of the task. However, the treatment of the ideas is limited and under-developed, which keeps the response at this level. The writer touches upon relevant points such as convenience, safety from losing physical cash, and potential credit facilities, alongside disadvantages like high penalties and security risks. Yet, these ideas are presented as a list of basic points without sufficient extension or detailed explanation. For instance, the discussion regarding security risks mentions hackers emptying accounts, but lacks deeper exploration or specific examples beyond a general warning. The position of the writer is evident, but the lack of fully developed supporting details and a proper conclusion prevents a more thorough exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation in the essay, with a clear attempt to separate the content into introduction, advantages, and disadvantages sections. However, the overall progression is limited, and the text lacks a smooth flow. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inadequate, relying on phrases like 'Advantanges -' and 'Disadvantages -' to structure the essay rather than natural transitional devices. Paragraphing is rudimentary, and referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the sudden shift into personal anecdote ('I Belong to the india and i am talking about a app called paytm') without a smooth introductory bridge. While the ideas are grouped roughly by theme, the lack of sophisticated cohesive links and a coherent concluding paragraph means the text sits comfortably at this intermediate level of organisation.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, employing a limited range appropriate for simple communication. Words and phrases such as 'very famous', 'easy to use', and 'lot of fruad' demonstrate a restricted lexical resource. There are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally strain the reader, including 'offcouse' instead of of course, 'disadvantes' for disadvantages, 'felling down' for falling out or dropping, and 'planty' for penalty. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'cashless facility' and 'credit score', but these are accompanied by frequent lexical inaccuracies and non-standard word forms that impede precision and reveal a lack of control over more advanced vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical range is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences and basic compound structures connected by coordinating conjunctions like 'and' or 'so'. When the writer attempts complex sentence forms, they are frequently faulty, such as in the sentence 'if you fail to pay back them on time then you will get huge planty and you have to pay more to them'. There are frequent errors in grammar, punctuation, and article usage throughout the text, including missing capitalization ('india', 'paytm'), incorrect prepositions ('belong to the india', 'pay back them'), and subject-verb agreement issues ('this development have'). These frequent errors require the reader to occasionally decode the meaning, though the core message generally remains retrievable.
