Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this metropolition era, paying by mobiles is become more typicall. Today, I will discuss about the pros and cons of this development.

To begin with advantages, paying with the cellphones is quite easy beacuse the presence of wallet is not needed as sometimes people forgot to bring the wallet while going for shopping.Secondly, People can pay most of the bills online instead of going to the specific office and can do the phone recharge from home.Lastly, individuals can do any big or small payment with the help of mobile like if any individual want to send some money in case of emergency to anyone who is living far from the person. they can do it easily by phone instead of going to the person and hand over the money.

In disadvantages, paying with the mobile applications is sometimes dangerous because of the digital thiefs. These people can get anyone money by doing online frauds. For example, people get a message from unkown number abount wining a lottery or press here to get the prise of one crore and when some people open it, their money from the bank account vanished immediately.Furthermore, sometimes individuals are not able to do the transactions because of the network issues at some places. For instance, a person going for a trip out of the city and try to pay for some items but the network issues can not allow the payment.

In conclusion, it is conspicious that the advantages of using online payment apps is more than the disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both sides of the question and make your position clear in the conclusion: you consider the advantages greater than the disadvantages. The supporting points are relevant, including convenience when someone forgets a wallet, paying bills from home, sending money in an emergency, fraud, and network problems. The examples help explain the ideas, particularly the scam message and the traveller unable to pay. However, some points are listed rather than fully explored. For instance, the benefits of paying bills and recharging a phone could be linked more explicitly to how app payments improve daily life, and the conclusion could briefly explain why these benefits outweigh the risks. This gives the response a sound, relevant answer, with some ideas developed more fully than others.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on advantages, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. The sequence within each body paragraph is generally logical, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Secondly,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. The examples are placed alongside the points they support. At times, however, the linking feels mechanical, and the long sentence about sending money contains a full stop before “they” that interrupts the connection between the idea and its explanation. Some transitions could show the relationship between points more precisely rather than simply listing them. More varied linking and clearer sentence boundaries would make the progression smoother and cohesion less noticeable.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “online frauds,” “transactions,” “network issues,” and “emergency.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “digital thieves” and “lottery,” although some choices are inaccurate or unnatural. Spelling and word-form errors—including “metropolition,” “typicall,” “beacuse,” “unkown,” and “conspicious”—are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Phrases such as “get anyone money” and “their money from the bank account vanished” also need more natural wording. The range is adequate for discussing the topic, but greater accuracy in spelling, collocation, and word choice would make the argument clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “if any individual want to send some money” and a sentence explaining what happens when people open a scam message. However, grammatical errors occur across the response. Examples include “paying by mobiles is become,” “people forgot to bring,” “if any individual want,” and “a person going for a trip … and try to pay,” where verb forms or agreement are not controlled. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “the presence of wallet” and the full stop before lowercase “they.” These errors sometimes make sentences harder to follow, although the overall meaning remains understandable. Practise accurate verb forms and agreement, and check each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
