Student answer (Band 6.0)
Due to the advancement of technology, plenty of apps are used by individuals which are beneficial to pay for things. It has become very popular in distinct nations. Whether there are a few limitations like fraud, phone problems, loads of benefits are available that are very significant for the citizens due to several reasons such as time saving and no need to carry everything which I will expain in the upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, the main adavantage is time saving. To elaborate it, nowadays people have a hectic schedule and they do not have enough time to go outside for shopping or purchasing things. So, there are so many apps such as flipcart, amazon, shein that are used by people. With this, they can save their precious time. Moreover, residents can get wide variety of things like clothes, shoes, jewellery which they can buy easily on local shops. Therefore, Online apps are extremely significant espacially for busy people.
On the other hand, some difficulites can be faced by app users while doing online shopping such as scam or fraud. To explicate it, there are several people who use these apps can face some problems regarding scam. Some apps are not helpful for them because your personal data or personal information can be leaked and other people can use it for their own benefits. Thus, it could be terrible for individuals. Lastly, people should use these apps carefully.
In conclusion, although there are some demerits of using apps, I believe that there are so many significant reasons of using online apps like time saving and provide unlimited products that people cannot find easily from local markets. But, citizens should use these apps carefully because so many scams are being through these kind of apps.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you believe the advantages of app-based payments outweigh the disadvantages, and you address both sides by discussing convenience and fraud. The time-saving point is relevant, but the explanation shifts to online shopping and buying from home rather than directly showing how paying by phone saves time. The claim that apps provide a “wide variety” of products is also more about shopping choice than payment methods. The risk paragraph identifies personal-data leaks, but it would be stronger with a specific example or a fuller explanation of how users can be affected. To strengthen the response, keep each main idea closely tied to mobile payments and develop the comparison between their benefits and risks more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a paragraph on risks, and a conclusion that restates your view. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow this progression. This coherent arrangement is a strength. However, some connections are mechanical, and the ideas within paragraphs do not always progress smoothly: the benefit paragraph moves from saving time to online shopping and product variety without clearly linking these points to paying by phone. “With this” also has an unclear reference. For stronger progression, use transitions that show the relationship between each claim and explain how each example supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including relevant terms such as “fraud,” “personal data,” “hectic schedule,” and “local markets.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, for example “To elaborate” and “significant.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, including “distinct nations,” “a few limitations,” and “scams are being through these kind of apps.” Spelling errors such as “expain,” “adavantage,” “difficulites,” and “espacially” are noticeable, while repeated use of “apps,” “people,” and “significant” limits variety. Aim for precise collocations and check spelling; for example, describe “mobile payment apps” rather than shifting repeatedly to “online apps.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in “although there are some demerits” and a relative clause in “things like clothes, shoes, jewellery which they can buy.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “there are several people who use these apps can face” combines two clause structures incorrectly; write “people who use these apps can face.” In “a wide variety of things,” the article should be “a wide variety,” and “these kind of apps” needs plural agreement: “these kinds of apps.” The opening sentence is also awkwardly constructed, and punctuation around “But” in the conclusion is unnecessary. More accurate clause construction and agreement would improve control.
