Student answer (Band 6.5)
In recent years, paying digital payment rather than cash become more popular in many areas of the world. Although this trend has some drawbacks like fruad, I strongly believe that it has more advantages including convenience and flexibility.
One of the significant benefits is that people do not need to carry cash. This is because they can use digital apps such as Google Pay or Apple pay to make transactios along with reducess the fear of cash theft. As a result, it made the payment progress easily from any corner of the world. For example, humans can add their credit card or debit card to their Apple Wallet, or install banking apps on their phone such as RBC banking app or ScotiaBank app. However, it is necessary to verify account time to time and update passwords to protect them from cyber crime.
Moreover, cellphone apps provides flexibility in various ways. Firstly, consumers can review their account 24 hour. Secondly, they are able to make instant transaction between chaquing account and saving account, intrac to others, pay bills etc. Thirdy, in case of physical card lost or damage, they can lock their card from the comfort of their homes without visiting physical locations. Consequently, an individuals save a fair amount of time for other productive activities.
In my views, to avoid fruad, we should read terms and conditions carefully and keep our app secure to enjoy its services.
To summarise, Despite having some limitations, its advantages surpass disadvantages. I believe it totally transform the way positively, we pay our utility, send money, and shop online.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you acknowledge fraud as a drawback but argue that convenience and flexibility make app payments more advantageous. You address the question directly and support your view with relevant examples, including adding bank cards to a phone wallet, checking accounts, transferring money, paying bills, and locking a lost card. These examples help extend the main points. To strengthen the response further, develop the drawbacks more fully: fraud is mentioned, but its possible consequences or other disadvantages are not explored, and the advice about security is brief. Some claims, such as being able to pay “from any corner of the world,” would also benefit from qualification or explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting advantages, a short paragraph on fraud prevention, and a conclusion. The progression from convenience to flexibility is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “Firstly,” and “Consequently” help guide the reader. This gives the essay a coherent arrangement. However, some linking is mechanical, particularly the numbered sequence in the flexibility paragraph, and the fraud-prevention paragraph feels detached from the earlier discussion of drawbacks. The conclusion also introduces a broad claim about transforming payment habits without clearly connecting it to the preceding points. Use referencing and transitions more naturally, and group related ideas so each paragraph has a clear central purpose.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “convenience,” “flexibility,” “cyber crime,” “instant transaction,” and “productive activities.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and terms such as “credit card,” “debit card,” and “account” are relevant and specific. There are, however, several spelling errors and inaccurate word choices that reduce precision, including “fruad,” “transactios,” “reducess,” and “intrac.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “payment progress” and “verify account time to time.” Aim to learn common collocations for digital banking and check spelling carefully. More precise phrasing would make the argument sound more fluent and help distinguish between making payments, transferring funds, and monitoring accounts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in “Although this trend has some drawbacks…” and a conditional phrase beginning “In case of physical card lost or damage.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but grammatical control is uneven. For example, “paying digital payment … become” needs a clearer subject and a correctly formed verb, while “cellphone apps provides” has a subject–verb agreement error. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence construction in “an individuals save” and “it totally transform.” Some sentences combine ideas in ways that make their grammatical relationships unclear. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, agreement, and consistent tense, while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
