Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the question by discussing benefits and drawbacks, and your examples of paying for food and utility bills through a banking app are relevant. However, the task asks you to decide whether the advantages or disadvantages are greater, and your position is not consistently clear: you say there are both, then conclude by recommending public awareness without stating which side outweighs the other. Several points, such as reduced time for businesses and risks to older users, are mentioned but not explained or supported in enough detail. To strengthen the response, state your judgement clearly in the introduction and conclusion, then develop each main reason with a specific explanation or example. The length requirement is met; nine words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: it introduces the topic, presents benefits, gives personal examples, and then turns to disadvantages. This helps the reader follow the general subject. However, progression is weakened by repeated framing such as “We should consider” and by the abrupt shift from benefits to drawbacks without a clear comparison or concluding judgement. Some ideas are grouped together in long, loosely connected passages, while the final paragraph repeats the topic rather than drawing the argument together. Use clearer topic sentences and link each example directly to the point it supports. A more purposeful sequence—position, developed advantages, counterargument, and a conclusion weighing both sides—would make the organisation more coherent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “online banking apps,” “utility bills,” “special discounts,” and “online scam.” Personal examples also help make the language relevant. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “important factor,” “quiet easier,” “in timely manners,” and “bankrupt by using single detail.” Spelling errors, including “mordern,” “aplication,” and “imporantance,” are noticeable and reduce precision. Aim to learn common collocations for digital payments and financial risks, and proofread spelling. More precise wording would help you explain the consequences of scams and technical failures clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the reader can generally understand your examples. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. For example, “This development have” should use a singular verb, while “It has made our quiet easier” has an incomplete or faulty structure. The sentence beginning “If we consider about discussing” does not form a complete, natural clause, and “Online scam are” has a number-agreement problem. Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, particularly where sentences run together. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
