Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, people used to pay for things by using mobile phone apps. That have been common in every country. But that fact have both advantages and disadvantages. In my opinion, paying bills from phone apps can be more beneficial for our busy lifestyles.

The world has globalised. There are so many facilities we can get because of the improvement of modern technology. Individuals can manage most of things from using their mobile phones. Also people have to pay many bills like water, electricity or Internet bills. when we make a purchase from a shop, we usually select paying app option.

On the one hand, I think this development gave more advantages because it is a very smart option. It can save both our time and money. As modern ones we all live with our busy schedules. We have not enough time to go to the bank frequently. Also it is very hard for deal with money. It is very annoying for carry with money hear and there. people can save their time for other suitable work rather than going bank frequently. When we are shopping should take only our mobile phone. That was very convenient.

On the other hand, there are some disadvantages we can find. when someone get lost or misplaced their mobile phone that can be major problem because others can purchase bills by using any mobile phobe. Some shops have not that app facility.

In conclusion, paying by using mobile phone apps is more helpful for our lifestyles. we should improve that facility.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you believe paying through phone apps is more beneficial, and you mention convenience, saving time and money, and the risk of a lost phone. These points are relevant to the question. However, the advantages are explained more fully than the disadvantages, which are limited to phone loss and some shops lacking the facility. Several claims, such as “It can save both our time and money,” would be stronger with a specific explanation or example showing how this happens. The opening also makes a broad claim that this practice is common “in every country,” which is not established. Develop both sides more evenly and support your main reasons with concrete examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, paragraphs presenting advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the basic direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the second paragraph moves from globalisation to technology, bills, and shop purchases without showing how each point connects. Some linking is repetitive or awkward, and the short disadvantages paragraph does not develop its points. Improve the flow by giving each paragraph one clear central idea, then explaining it and adding an example. Use references such as “this method” carefully so the connection between sentences remains clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “mobile phone apps,” “bills,” “busy schedules,” and “convenient.” There are also attempts at more descriptive phrasing, such as “globalised” and “modern technology.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear: “deal with money,” “carry with money hear and there,” and “purchase bills” do not express the intended ideas precisely. Spelling and word-form slips such as “phobe” also reduce control. Build a more precise set of collocations for digital payments, security, and convenience, and check that each phrase fits its context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the overall meaning can usually be understood. However, control is inconsistent, with frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Examples include “That have been common,” “that fact have,” and “when someone get lost,” where the subject and verb do not agree. The sentence “It is very hard for deal with money” also has an incorrect infinitive pattern, while several sentences begin with lowercase letters after full stops. Most structures are simple, and attempts to combine ideas are not always accurate. Practise subject–verb agreement and basic clause patterns, then proofread punctuation and capitalisation.
