Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You make a relevant attempt to explain why camping might appeal to your friend, mentioning the peaceful setting, lake, and your enjoyable experience. You also identify a possible disadvantage: noise from other visitors. However, the task is addressed only minimally because the advice is not consistently clear, and the final required point—whether you would go camping with your friend this summer—is not answered. The opening refers to your friend asking where to go, rather than clearly framing the letter as advice about a first camping trip. Develop each point directly: explain what your friend may enjoy, give a specific drawback and how to manage it, and clearly say whether you can join them.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has a recognisable letter format, and the ideas about the destination, its attractions, and noise are broadly related to the task. However, information is not arranged coherently: the letter moves from greetings to the destination, then to noise and sleep, without clear paragraphing or a consistent progression. Some links are difficult to follow, such as “When the people was gone there,” and repeated uses of “because” do not clearly show how the ideas connect. Organise the letter into short paragraphs—opening and recommendation, benefits and disadvantage, then your decision about joining—and use clear transitions such as “One reason,” “However,” and “As for this summer.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a basic set of relevant words, including “peaceful,” “lake,” “noise,” “camp,” and “attractive,” so the reader can identify the general topic and some of your reasons. However, the vocabulary is limited and several word choices or combinations are unnatural, which sometimes makes the message harder to understand. For example, “I was very enjoying there” and “beautiful sleep in the camp” do not express your meaning naturally, while “make a noise” is less suitable than a more precise description of the disturbance. Build a wider range of natural phrases for describing outdoor experiences and drawbacks, and check spelling and word forms such as “very” and “me.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to communicate several connected ideas, but sentence structures are mostly simple or joined in long, poorly controlled sequences. Frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation can make parts of the letter difficult to follow. Examples include “i hope you are doing well .I am doing fine,” “the people was gone,” and “There beautiful lake and have relaxation.” These show problems with sentence boundaries and basic grammatical patterns. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check past-tense forms when describing last summer. For example, separate the greeting from the next sentence and write “There is a beautiful lake” rather than omitting the verb.
