Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: explaining why the friend would enjoy camping, describing disadvantages, and stating your interest in joining. However, the development of these ideas is quite limited. For instance, the reasons for enjoying camping are vague (e.g., 'flower parking', 'water park'), and the disadvantages are described in a very basic way. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter to a friend, but the lack of detail and the somewhat confusing explanation of the location make it difficult for the reader to fully grasp your points. To improve, try to expand on your ideas with more descriptive language and clearer explanations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition between the benefits and the disadvantages is abrupt. There is also some repetition of ideas, and the logical flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors, such as in the opening paragraph where the purpose of the letter is not clearly stated. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'on the other hand', 'consequently') would help to improve the overall flow and coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express ideas with precision. You use simple words like 'good', 'place', and 'happy' throughout the text. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'flower parking' (likely meaning flower garden or park) and 'security parson' (security personnel). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of a wider range of vocabulary prevents you from achieving a higher score. Try to incorporate more specific adjectives and nouns related to travel and camping to make your writing more engaging and descriptive.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The writing contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'this camping only open'), article usage (e.g., 'in life'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'I'm writing this letter about you think of'). You rely mostly on simple sentences, and attempts at more complex structures often result in errors. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing and capitalization. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring that your subjects and verbs agree, and practicing the correct use of prepositions and articles.
