Dear Ram,
How are you? I hope you are doing well. I was thrilled, when I learned you are planning to visit Manali hill station for camping in this summer. I am glad, you asked me for advice.
Personally, I believe you will enjoy this camping for several reasons. Firstly, Manali is very beautiful hill station and perfect place to live during summer. In addition, there are several spots where you can camping and enjoy the beautiful mountains view. Moreover, you can learn about the different culture and tradition of the local people.
However, camping in hill station could cause several problems. The first one is unpredictable weather. On hill station weather change quickly, as a result you may face heavy rain, and lightning which can cause several type of illness. Furthermore, the food offered by local people or hotels are always expensive due to high transportation and handling fee, which can impact on your estimate budget of your trip.
I would like to join you for the summer camping. I can share my experience with you and we can share the budget in between us which would be better for both of us. On top of that, we can spend quailty time together.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
The response covers all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly explain why camping in Manali would be enjoyable, identify specific disadvantages like unpredictable weather and high costs, and confirm your interest in joining the trip. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, and the purpose is clear throughout. The ideas are relevant and sufficiently developed to meet the task requirements. To reach a higher band, you could provide slightly more specific personal anecdotes or detailed suggestions to make the advice feel more authentic and engaging.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each point, and a concluding offer to join. You use a range of cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'In addition', 'Moreover', and 'However' to link your ideas. While the flow is generally good, some transitions feel slightly mechanical. Additionally, the paragraphing is appropriate for a letter format. To improve, ensure that the connection between sentences is smoother, avoiding repetitive structures at the start of each paragraph.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'unpredictable weather', 'hill station', and 'estimate budget'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'can camping' (should be 'can go camping') and 'different culture and tradition' (should be 'different cultures and traditions'). There is also a minor spelling error with 'quailty'. While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, incorporating more precise or idiomatic expressions would help elevate the lexical range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'I was thrilled, when I learned' (unnecessary comma), 'Manali is very beautiful hill station' (missing article 'a'), and 'the food... are always expensive' (subject-verb agreement error). While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede communication. To improve, focus on article usage, subject-verb agreement, and punctuation, particularly regarding comma placement in complex sentences. Increasing the variety of complex structures while maintaining accuracy will help you achieve a higher score.
