Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt effectively. You explained the benefits of camping, identified potential health-related disadvantages, and expressed a clear interest in joining your friend. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, and the purpose is clear throughout. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are developed with slightly more depth; for instance, when discussing disadvantages, you could elaborate on the lack of modern amenities or the unpredictability of weather, rather than focusing primarily on health and medication. Overall, the response is well-focused and meets the requirements of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each point, and a closing. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'However', and 'Therefore' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that the flow between sentences is more natural, rather than relying on standard transition markers at the start of every sentence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'unforeseen', 'adventurous', and 'fatigue'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'camping authorities will offers you' (should be 'offer') and 'it would be grateful if we both planning' (should be 'it would be great if we both planned'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and sentence structure. Expanding your vocabulary to include more idiomatic expressions would enhance your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you successfully convey your message, there are several grammatical inaccuracies, such as 'for a first time' (should be 'for the first time'), 'could be affect on' (should be 'could affect'), and 'if we both planning' (should be 'if we both plan'). These errors are frequent but do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of modal verbs. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures while maintaining accuracy will help you achieve a higher band.
