Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter covers all three bullet points: explaining why the friend would enjoy camping, describing disadvantages, and confirming your willingness to join. However, the development of these ideas is quite limited and brief. The response also falls slightly short of the 150-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the overall task achievement. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detail—for example, instead of just listing 'unpredictable weather,' explain how it might affect the trip. Providing more depth would help you meet the length requirement and demonstrate a more thorough engagement with the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use basic transitions like 'There are the reasons' and 'Here are some possible disadvantage,' though these are somewhat mechanical. The flow between sentences is generally clear, but the connection between ideas could be smoother. To improve, try using a wider variety of cohesive devices (e.g., 'furthermore,' 'on the other hand,' 'consequently') to link your sentences more naturally. Additionally, ensure that your paragraphing is consistent and that each paragraph focuses on one clear theme.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to communicate your ideas, such as 'unpredictable,' 'bonfire,' and 'memorable.' However, there are several spelling errors ('rediant,' 'experiance,' 'lovengly,' 'evry') and some awkward collocations ('doing very thing by scratch,' 'having an sufficiant equipment cost'). These errors occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent understanding. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise vocabulary and double-check your spelling of common words. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives and adverbs would also enhance the quality of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('a camping holiday'), incorrect verb forms ('I got to know about you are planing'), and subject-verb agreement issues ('It provide you'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with commas. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors limit the score. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that your verbs agree with your subjects and that you use articles correctly before nouns.
