Dear john,
I hope you are doing well.
I am glad to hear you that you are going to comping in this summer. I am writing this letter to give some important and safe advice to you to protect from sun and forest.
Firstly, you have finished your master degree in engineering and have a plenty of time to explore yourself. I know that you are keen interest to find nature beauty and experience different activities from your childhood.

I also request to you if you are postpone your trip next month, i would like to join with you to spend quality time and memories old school days.
I hope you are enjoying trips and capture good pictures.
your lovingly,

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The letter addresses all three bullet points required by the task. You explain why your friend would enjoy camping, mention potential disadvantages (sun exposure and rough terrain), and express interest in joining the trip. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. For example, the advice regarding sun protection and safety shoes is quite specific but does not fully explore the broader 'disadvantages' of camping, such as lack of facilities or unpredictable weather. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter to a friend, although some phrasing is slightly unnatural. To improve, ensure that your ideas are expanded with more depth and that the advice provided feels more cohesive with the overall theme of the letter.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your ideas. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'Also' to link your points. However, the transitions between sentences are sometimes mechanical, and the logical progression could be smoother. For instance, the jump from discussing your friend's engineering degree to the advice about sunscreen is abrupt. Additionally, the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'while you are in days', which is confusing. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'UV rays', 'nature beauty', and 'quality time'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'going to comping' (instead of 'going camping'), 'keen interest to find' (instead of 'keen interest in finding'), and 'memories old school days' (instead of 'reminisce about old school days'). These errors do not prevent understanding, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and practicing the correct usage of verbs and prepositions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'I am glad to hear you that you are going to comping in this summer' (unnecessary 'you' and preposition error), 'it is high chance' (missing article), and 'if you are postpone your trip' (incorrect verb form). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement and capitalization. While these errors rarely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall fluency of the letter. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct tense usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
