Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Raman,
Hopefully, you and your family have been keeping well. It feels incredibly long since we last spoke. I am really glad you asked me for advice about your first camping trip.
According to me you will like the beautiful scenery along with route. Moreover, there is also fresh air, which will enhance your overall experience. In addition, you can also also enjoy adventure activities for example bungee jumping, sky rocket.
I think you to take care about some possible disadvantages there, firstly, be careful about mosquitoes because these kind of insects always fly in open air. Furthermore, facilities should be limited there, be it no proper Wi-Fi and bathroom, so be prepared in advance.
I want to join you but recently I get promoted as a supervisor at my work. Now I have multiple tasks to handle so I cannot come with you.
Let's keep the conversation going. I'm easy to contact. sending lots of love to your family.
Best regards,
Vishal Goyal

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The letter addresses all three bullet points of the prompt. You explain why your friend would enjoy camping, mention potential disadvantages like mosquitoes and limited facilities, and clearly state that you cannot join the trip due to work commitments. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat brief. For instance, the mention of 'bungee jumping' and 'sky rocket' as camping activities is slightly unrealistic, which affects the credibility of your advice. To reach a higher band, ensure your ideas are more grounded in the reality of the activity described and provide slightly more detail to fully develop each point.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each requirement, and a closing. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'In addition', 'firstly', and 'Furthermore' to link your ideas. However, some of these transitions feel a bit mechanical. There is also a minor issue with referencing; for example, 'According to me' is not a natural way to introduce an opinion, and 'these kind of insects' should be 'this kind of insect' or 'these kinds of insects'. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different topics, which helps the reader follow your train of thought.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task. Phrases like 'incredibly long', 'overall experience', and 'be prepared in advance' are used correctly. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For example, 'According to me' is an incorrect way to express an opinion; 'In my opinion' or 'I think' would be better. Additionally, 'sky rocket' is not a standard term for an adventure activity. While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the response from reaching a higher band. Expanding your range to include more natural collocations would improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'I think you to take care' (should be 'I think you should take care') and 'recently I get promoted' (should be 'I have recently been promoted'). The phrase 'there is also fresh air' is grammatically correct but slightly awkward in context. While you attempt to use complex sentences, the control over tense and verb forms is inconsistent. The errors present do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, but they are frequent enough to limit the score to a 6.0.
