Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task. You explained why your friend would enjoy camping, listed potential disadvantages, and clearly stated your inability to join this summer. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited; for instance, the disadvantages could be expanded with more descriptive language to better meet the requirements of a fully developed response. Overall, the task is fulfilled, but the depth of the content is basic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes repetitive. For example, you rely heavily on simple conjunctions like 'and' or 'but' to connect ideas. There are also issues with sentence structure, such as the run-on sentences in the second paragraph ('As you can have campfire at night, wating stars ,by sitting with friends...'). Improving the use of transition words and punctuation would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message, but there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'Greatfull', 'rejuvanated', 'opetition', 'plecent', 'wheather', 'spoile', 'unconfortable', 'mamorable'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent communication. You attempt to use some descriptive language, such as 'hustle and bustle', which is positive. To reach a higher band, you should focus on accurate spelling and using more precise collocations rather than relying on basic descriptive words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

Your writing shows a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Common issues include missing articles ('in middle of nature'), incorrect verb forms ('I hope you doing well'), and subject-verb agreement errors. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing after commas and periods. While these errors rarely impede the overall meaning, they are frequent enough to limit your score. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for small grammatical slips will help improve your accuracy.
