Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt, which is a positive start. However, the development of your ideas is quite limited. For example, when describing the disadvantages, you mention 'finding for hotel' and 'expensive to stay there,' which is confusing because camping is usually an alternative to hotels, not a search for one. To improve, you should provide more logical and detailed explanations for your points. The tone is also slightly inconsistent; it reads more like a formal business letter than a friendly note to a friend. Ensure your content is relevant and clearly explained to better meet the requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly,' 'Secondly,' and 'Moreover' to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes disjointed, and the connection between ideas is occasionally weak. For instance, the transition in the second paragraph regarding the disadvantages is unclear. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your sentences flow naturally into one another rather than feeling like a list of separate points.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite basic and contains several errors. You use words like 'phenonmenon' incorrectly in this context, and there are spelling errors such as 'unforgetable,' 'relexing,' and 'amd.' Additionally, some word choices are unnatural, such as 'finding for hotel.' To improve, try to use more precise vocabulary related to camping and travel, and pay closer attention to spelling and word formation. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives would also help make your writing more engaging and natural for a letter to a friend.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'I know you will be enjoy' (should be 'will enjoy'), 'It would be make you summer' (should be 'would make your summer'), and 'I will be let you know' (should be 'I will let you know'). You rely mostly on simple sentence structures, and your attempts at more complex structures often contain errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic verb tenses and subject-verb agreement. Proofreading your work for small errors like missing articles or incorrect verb forms will significantly improve your score.
