Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The letter addresses all three bullet points: the benefits of camping, the disadvantages, and the offer to join. However, the development of these ideas is quite limited. The explanation of why the friend would enjoy camping is brief, focusing only on mountains and birds. The disadvantages section is somewhat vague, mentioning 'creepy sounds' and 'unusual things' without providing a clear, logical reason for these concerns. The tone is informal, which is appropriate for a letter to a friend, but the overall development lacks the depth required for a higher band score. To improve, you should expand on your points with more specific details or personal anecdotes.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The letter is divided into paragraphs, but the internal structure is weak. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas smoothly. For example, the transition between the benefits and the disadvantages is abrupt, using 'yes but here i would like to inform you'. The flow of ideas is somewhat disjointed, and the use of referencing is inconsistent. While the reader can follow the general message, the lack of logical progression and the limited use of linking words make the text feel somewhat mechanical and repetitive. Improving the use of transition signals like 'furthermore', 'however', or 'consequently' would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive. You rely on simple words like 'good', 'very', and 'many'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'taken a very good decision' (should be 'made a very good decision') and 'do some adventures things' (should be 'have some adventures' or 'do some adventurous activities'). The spelling of 'unuasal' is incorrect. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, including less common items and more precise collocations that fit the context of a friendly letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writing contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are issues with article usage ('the camping', 'in the night'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure. For instance, 'in night becomes more darker' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. The use of 'u' instead of 'you' is inappropriate for an IELTS task, even in an informal letter. While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, correct verb tenses, and avoiding informal abbreviations. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect prepositions will help increase your score.
