Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining why your friend would enjoy camping, describing disadvantages, and confirming your interest in joining them. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, when discussing the disadvantages, the points about amenities and weather are mentioned but could be expanded with more specific detail to fully satisfy the 'well-developed' requirement of higher bands. The response is clear and maintains a consistent position throughout, successfully fulfilling the communicative purpose of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Also' to link your points. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical, and there are occasional issues with referencing and sentence structure that make the progression feel slightly disjointed. For example, the transition in the second paragraph is repetitive. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would help improve the overall flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, using words like 'amenities', 'hustle and bustle', and 'adventure'. However, there are several spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'campain' (camping), 'beleive' (believe), 'graet' (great), 'qaulity' (quality), 'hectice' (hectic), 'realx' (relax), and 'defintely' (definitely). These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable, though they do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To reach a higher band, you should focus on accuracy in spelling and try to incorporate more precise collocations to express your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'it is good area' (missing article), 'which faced by you' (passive voice error), 'did not get the amenties' (tense inconsistency), and 'prepare a food' (incorrect article usage). Additionally, there are punctuation and capitalization issues, such as 'Your Sincerely' instead of 'Yours sincerely'. These errors occur frequently, though they rarely impede communication. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and proofreading for basic grammatical slips.
