Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Aman,
Hope you are feeling great.I heard that you want to go camping during summer holidays.you asked about my advice on camping .I' ll share my knowledge about camping with you.
First of all, I think you would enjoy this activity a lot. you always want to avoid the hustle bustle of the city. Camping provides you a quiet atmosphere , which you are always looking for. It is also an adventurous activity ,which suits your personality.
Despite the fun, it also offers some challenges .One biggest disadvantage of camping is bad weather .It can be uncomfortable if it rains or become very cold.Another one is fear of wild animals if you camping around wild areas. These barriers can be overcome by good planning.
I would also like to join you .It's been a while since we catch up. Share some destinations where you would like camping . So,we can make a plan accordingly .
Looking forward to your plan ,talk soon.
Best wishes

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all three bullet points of the task. You clearly explain why your friend would enjoy camping, identify relevant disadvantages like bad weather and wild animals, and confirm your interest in joining. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. To improve, you could expand slightly more on the 'why'—for instance, by describing a specific benefit of nature beyond just 'quiet atmosphere'—to move from a basic coverage of the points to a more fully developed response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on a specific part of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices like 'First of all', 'Despite the fun', and 'Another one is'. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by mechanical punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after periods (e.g., 'great.I', 'camping .I''). Improving the consistency of your paragraphing and ensuring that cohesive devices are used to link sentences more fluidly rather than just starting them would help achieve a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You use a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly, such as 'hustle bustle', 'adventurous activity', and 'barriers'. There are some minor issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'fear of wild animals if you camping' (should be 'if you are camping') and 'share some destinations' (where 'suggest' or 'propose' might be more natural). The vocabulary is adequate for the task, but incorporating more precise collocations would enhance your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are frequent errors in punctuation and grammar. For example, there are missing spaces after full stops, inconsistent capitalization (e.g., 'you always want'), and subject-verb agreement issues like 'if you camping' instead of 'if you are camping'. To reach a higher band, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed without errors.
