Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to address all parts of the task as it is incomplete and cuts off mid-sentence. While the first two bullet points are introduced, the third bullet point regarding joining the friend is entirely missing. Furthermore, the response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the overall task achievement. To improve, you must ensure all three bullet points are fully developed and that you meet the minimum word count to provide a complete response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter begins with a standard opening, but the abrupt ending prevents a logical conclusion or a sense of progression. Paragraphing is attempted, but the incomplete nature of the final paragraph disrupts the flow of ideas. Cohesive devices are used in a limited way, such as 'Also' and 'as', but the lack of completion makes it difficult to assess the overall coherence of the argument. To improve, ensure your ideas are fully developed and connected with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but contains several errors that affect clarity, such as 'convience' (convince) and 'cruicial' (crucial). There are also awkward phrasings like 'unwinding your brain' and 'so many animals are crowded'. While you attempt to use some descriptive language, the range is limited and the spelling errors are noticeable. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure you proofread your work for basic spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains several grammatical errors that impede readability. Examples include 'take go camping' (take up camping or go camping), 'It is cruicial to unwinding' (it is crucial to unwind), and 'took lot of the land' (took a lot of the land). The sentence structures are relatively simple, and the frequent errors in verb forms and articles suggest a lack of control over complex structures. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of infinitive versus gerund forms.
