Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining why your friend would enjoy camping, describing disadvantages, and stating your interest in joining. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of why your friend would enjoy camping is quite general, and the suggestion of Jaipur as a camping destination is slightly confusing given the context of a 'camping holiday' in a forest. To improve, ensure your ideas are more specific and logically connected to the theme of camping. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, but the content needs more depth to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'As well as ,' and 'moreover ,' which are used without proper sentence integration. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly the transition between the benefits of camping and the warning about weather conditions. To improve, focus on using transition words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher score. You rely on basic phrasing and there are several instances of awkward word choice, such as 'outside from kitchen' and 'delisious'. There are also spelling errors like 'delisious' and 'care full'. While your meaning is generally clear, the limited range of vocabulary prevents you from expressing your ideas with more sophistication. Try to incorporate more descriptive adjectives and idiomatic expressions that are natural in a friendly letter context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with verb tenses ('decision to going'), subject-verb agreement ('i am feel'), and sentence structure ('that reason i know you feel'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing capital letters at the start of sentences and incorrect spacing around punctuation marks. While you attempt some complex ideas, the high frequency of errors often distracts the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
