Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Khush,
Hope you are good, as you asked me advice for your upcoming camping activity at Mount Abu in this summer vacation. I am very happy to heard about it, for success of this adventure I will provide some guidance to you by following that you will get more fun.
Firstly, Mount Abu is best place for adventure activities for this, where you will enjoy mountains, lakes and other natural beauty with an attractive sunset point which you could never seen. For camping don't forget to bring tracking shoes, camping bag, camping clothes and other equipment which help you to face up different challenges. Always be with your camping partners, while on camping because of that there would be less chances for being helpless. Try to solve problems by own self in camp to grow confidence in life.
However, there are some possible disadvantage camp has, such as you will face different problems while tracking which might affect to physically or mentally but I know you will handle it.
I have also off in my work at that time so I will wish to join with you
Your friend

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You explained why your friend would enjoy the trip, identified potential disadvantages, and confirmed your interest in joining. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the disadvantages are mentioned in a very general way ('physically or mentally') without specific examples of what those challenges might be. To improve, try to elaborate more on your points to provide a more comprehensive response. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, and the purpose of the letter is clear throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'However' to transition between points. However, some of the linking is a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'for success of this adventure I will provide some guidance to you by following that you will get more fun.' Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would help elevate your score in this area.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message, using terms like 'adventure,' 'natural beauty,' and 'challenges.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'I have also off in my work' instead of 'I have time off work' or 'I am on leave.' Additionally, 'for success of this adventure' is slightly unnatural. While your vocabulary is adequate for the task, you should focus on learning more precise collocations and idiomatic expressions to move into a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include 'I am very happy to heard about it' (should be 'to hear'), 'which you could never seen' (should be 'have never seen'), and 'by own self' (should be 'by yourself'). There are also issues with article usage and preposition placement. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage, as these errors are currently quite noticeable throughout the text.
