Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You explain why your friend would enjoy camping, mention the disadvantages, and confirm your interest in joining. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, the disadvantages are listed briefly without much elaboration. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points—for example, explaining why cooking for oneself is challenging or how the lack of technology specifically helps one rejuvenate. Overall, the response is relevant and covers the requirements of the task effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter follows a logical structure with a clear opening, body paragraphs for each point, and a closing. You use basic cohesive devices like 'In this tech era' and 'There are gonna be some downfalls'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical. The paragraphing is generally appropriate, though the transition between the disadvantages and the offer to join could be smoother. The use of referencing is clear, and the reader can easily follow your train of thought throughout the letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You use a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly. Words like 'rejuvenate' and 'thrilling adventure' are good choices. However, there are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'going for camping' (should be 'going camping') and 'getting small cuts' (which is slightly unnatural). The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band score. Expanding your range of collocations and idiomatic expressions would improve your score in this area.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'going on a camping will helps' (should be 'going camping will help') and 'i a. Sure you can do' (punctuation and phrasing errors). There are also minor issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic verb forms and punctuation would be very beneficial.
