A friend of yours is thinking of going on a camping holiday for the first time this summer. He/She has asked for your advice. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter

• explain why you think your friend would enjoy a camping holiday
• describe some possible disadvantages
• say whether you would like to go camping with your friend this summer

Dear Addy,

I'm writing to advise you on your upcoming camping trip this summer.

Canadian summers are great for outdoor trips such as camping in the northern Ontario by the Lake Superior. You'll enjoy the long drive to the north by road as it has some scenic views on the way. Also, if you're tired of the drive, you can simply pull up your car on the side as there are numerous Ontario Parks such as Pancake Bay Provincial Park. They allow day-time camping as well as overnight stay.

I just want to give you a heads up that there is no internet connectivity in this area. So, you are on your own. But, don't worry, satellite emergency services work just fine if you have any Apple device.

I'm planning to join you for this trip as you know how much I'm into nature! Right now, I'm booking some days off in the last week of August so that I can go with you. I am planning a surprise for our common friend, Jay; I am trying to rent an RV for the road trip! Let's make this summer the best one.
