Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the main points: you explain that your friend may enjoy trekking, outdoor activities, preparing food together and watching sunrises and sunsets, and you clearly say you would join the trip. The advice about possible disadvantages is much less complete: the only concern is that the weather may not suit your friend’s body, followed by a suggestion to consult a doctor. This does not explain practical drawbacks such as insects, uncomfortable sleeping or limited facilities. Some positive ideas are also difficult to understand, so their support is limited. To strengthen the letter, develop both the benefits and drawbacks with clear, specific explanations, and make the advice directly relevant to a first-time camper.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The letter has a recognisable opening, a main section about camping and a closing that confirms you would like to go. However, the main section combines many ideas in one long, difficult-to-follow sequence, moving from trekking to making friends, chores, food and evening activities without clear sentence or paragraph boundaries. Connections such as “but” and “and” are used repeatedly, while the relationship between some ideas is unclear. For example, the warning about the weather appears abruptly after the description of camp activities. Organise the letter into separate paragraphs for enjoyment, disadvantages and your decision, and use clear sentence boundaries and linking phrases to show how each point relates to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “treking,” “tent setup,” “fresh fruit” and “sunrise and sunset,” and the reader can identify several camping activities. However, spelling errors and inaccurate or unclear word choices frequently make the message difficult to interpret, as in “expireans,” “expreins,” “I craete so mnay frinds” and “myusical game.” Some phrases also do not express the intended meaning naturally, such as “Camping provides a best expreins to nature.” Use accurate, familiar expressions first, then add a few precise camping terms. Proofread spelling carefully and check that each phrase communicates a complete, natural idea.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There are attempts to express reasons and contrast, including “because I want to relive my memories there” and the warning beginning “but some time,” but sentence structures are limited and many are faulty. The opening phrase “I am writing a letter to going on a camping holiday” does not form a correct grammatical pattern, and the long sentence beginning “Camping provides…” contains several clauses without clear control of their structure. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, for example “a best” and the run-on sequence describing activities. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use full stops to separate ideas. More accurate simple sentences will make your meaning much easier to follow.
