Student answer (Band 5.5)

Dear Rahul,

I hope you are doing well. I am very as we spoke after so long and i am gald that you are planing for camping holiday as it is great and interesting activity to do. I want to recomand Simila for this as they provide best service.

First and foremost reason is that you will enjoy there they and very reputable and well experinced staff they will guide you for every step so there is no need to worry whether you have pervious experince in camping or you are begineer. Futhermore, you will enjoy the company of other people as people came here for camping from diffrent parts of the world.

Another important thing is that you have to be aware of scammers due the popularity of the place there are lots of people they try to get money from you.

Also take proper clothes and good qualites shoes over tthere as weather can quickely change.

I would love to be go there with you but i am starting my yoga classes next week so i am not able to come with you this time but if i get chance in future i will defientely join you.

I hope you get best journey.

Your faithfull,

Anita rawal

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address all three requested points: you explain that your friend may enjoy the staff’s guidance and meeting campers from other countries, mention risks from scammers and changing weather, and say you would like to join but cannot because of your yoga classes. However, the advice is only partly developed. The opening recommendation of “Simila” is not clearly connected to the camping holiday, and the disadvantages are listed briefly without explaining how your friend could manage them. Your reason for enjoying the trip is also somewhat unclear in places, particularly “you will enjoy there they.” Make the recommendation and benefits more specific, and explain the practical impact of each disadvantage to give the letter a fuller response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable structure, with a greeting, an opening, advice, and a closing. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost” and “Furthermore” help signal the points, and the final paragraph clearly gives your answer about joining the trip. However, progression is uneven: the recommendation of a location appears suddenly, and the sentence about the staff is difficult to follow because several ideas are joined together. The disadvantages also shift quickly from scammers to clothing and weather. Use separate, focused paragraphs for the benefits, drawbacks, and your availability, and connect each point with clear references so the reader can follow the advice without having to interpret it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “camping holiday,” “reputable,” “scammers,” and “weather can quickly change.” These choices show an attempt to discuss both the experience and its risks. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the letter less clear, such as “recomand,” “pervious experince,” and “good qualites shoes.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “I am very as we spoke after so long” and “I hope you get best journey.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe a “well-organised campsite” or “suitable footwear,” and use a conventional closing wish such as “I hope you have a wonderful trip.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the final explanation—“I am starting my yoga classes next week so I am not able to come with you this time”—communicates your reason clearly. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. Examples include “I am very as we spoke,” “they are very reputable and well experinced staff,” and “people came here for camping,” where sentence structure, agreement, or tense is not controlled. There are also problems with articles and verb forms, as in “I would love to be go there.” Build sentences around one clear main clause, then add supporting information, and check subject–verb agreement, tense, and articles before submitting.
