Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You address the main points by explaining that your friend may enjoy nature, cooking outdoors, and seeing waterfalls, and you mention a possible danger from wild animals. However, the response only minimally fulfils the task because the disadvantages are not clearly described: the warning about animals is brief, and the tiger anecdote does not explain other practical drawbacks. Most importantly, you do not answer whether you would like to go camping with your friend this summer. The opening says you are pleased your friend is going, but this is not a clear statement that you will join them. Develop the disadvantages and explicitly say whether you can or want to go, with a reason.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The letter has a recognisable sequence: an opening, reasons camping may be enjoyable, a warning, and a closing. Paragraph breaks help separate these parts, and words such as “firstly” and “when” provide some links. However, progression is uneven, and several ideas run together in long sentences, particularly the paragraph beginning “I will tell you when you go in the forest area.” The repeated use of “you love” and “you enjoy” makes the development feel list-like, while unclear references such as “that” and “there” make some connections difficult to follow. Use shorter sentences, group related points, and link each reason or disadvantage clearly to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the general topic, including “nature lover,” “forest,” “camping,” and “waterfalls.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “forest animal” and “camping area.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled choices make the letter harder to understand, including “quite places,” “cock your food,” “start,” and “chosen location” (written as “chesen”). Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “go to camping holiday” and “serious thing.” Build a more accurate set of camping-related expressions and check spelling and collocations; this will make your advice clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response relies mainly on simple sentence patterns, with a few attempts to connect ideas using “when” and “because”-type relationships. Errors are frequent and sometimes obscure meaning. For example, “you are ready to going” has an incorrect verb form, while “when i was gone last year” and “i will waiting for you” show problems with tense and verb construction. There are also missing or incorrect articles and agreement, as in “see the water falls” and “they dont come close to a group.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, and several sentences are joined without clear boundaries. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add controlled clauses and check verb forms.
