Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points in the task: you explain that your friend may enjoy the natural scenery and wildlife, mention risks from animals and mosquitoes, and say you cannot join because of your busy schedule. The advice is relevant and your personal experience of visiting the same place helps make the letter appropriate for a friend. However, some points are less fully explained: the disadvantages are brief, and the warning about fish being dangerous is unclear. The reasons for enjoying the trip could also be developed with a specific example of what your friend might do there. A clearer explanation of these points would make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a generally clear sequence: an opening, reasons to go, possible disadvantages, and a closing that answers whether you can join. Paragraphing helps distinguish these parts, and phrases such as “For instance” and “overall” signal relationships between ideas. At times, however, connections are awkward or unclear. For example, “Although there are many trees and rivers on that park, but…” uses competing linking structures, while “what you are under safty” makes the warning difficult to follow. Some ideas also run together because punctuation and spacing are inconsistent. Use one connector at a time and make each paragraph’s main point clear before adding supporting details.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “nature,” “stunning,” “animals,” “sunrise,” and “mosquito bites,” and you attempt descriptive language about the scenery. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable and sometimes make meaning harder to understand, as in “resonas,” “speices,” “intract,” and “masquito bits.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “go to camping holiday” and “under safty.” Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for the risks and activities would help you express your advice clearly while keeping the friendly tone.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause (“because I done my camping last year”) and a conditional warning (“If you are planing to stay…”). However, errors in verb forms, sentence construction, articles, and punctuation are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “I hope you doing will” needs a correctly formed verb, and “I know that you are planing to go to camping holiday” has problems with the verb pattern and article use. The sentence beginning “Although” also needs a different structure without “but.” Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb.
