Student answer (Band 6.5)

Dear kiran,

Hope you are doing well. I got your letter recently which explains your interest of going to camping holiday this summer. It would be considered as good for you because you are great lover of adventure, and moreover, you like visting and exploring different places. I can also suggest you different camping sites as I do a lot of camping. Camping can also provide you thrill and you can take a break from work and have company of yourself.

But this can come up with some disadvantages as well, according to my concern, you are hygenic freak and in camping their is problem of washroom and bathing and in order to resolve that you have to prepare yourself. In addition to this, camping require a lot of physical activity so make sure you practice walking a lot and be ready to explore the hurdles in between your camping journey.

I would love to go with you to camping site as I am experienced in this and will help to guide you in your camping journey. I am eagerly waiting for your response so that we can discouver new place for camping and make this summer for memorable .

See you soon !

Your friend,

Avi

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three points clearly: you explain that your friend enjoys adventure and exploring, mention practical drawbacks such as washing facilities and physical effort, and state directly, “I would love to go with you.” The advice is relevant and the friendly tone suits the audience. You also extend the ideas with suggestions to prepare and with your offer to guide your friend. To make the response more fully developed, give a little more specific support—for example, explain how the lack of facilities might affect this particular friend, or name a preparation that would make the trip easier. The closing also looks ahead to planning together, which reinforces your clear willingness to go.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The information is organised in a clear sequence: an opening, reasons to enjoy camping, possible disadvantages, and your decision about joining the trip. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and linking expressions such as “moreover,” “But,” and “In addition to this” make the progression easy to follow. The letter also maintains a consistent friendly purpose. Some connections are less smooth because several ideas are packed into long sentences, particularly the opening explanation and the paragraph about disadvantages. A few transitions, such as “according to my concern,” do not express the relationship naturally. For stronger cohesion, separate related points into shorter sentences and use precise links to show whether an idea is an example, result, or contrast.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “adventure,” “exploring,” “physical activity,” and “hurdles,” so the main ideas are understandable. There are also attempts to use more specific expressions, such as “take a break from work.” However, noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation problems reduce precision: “visting,” “hygenic,” and “discouver” are misspelled, while “interest of going to camping holiday” and “company of yourself” are unnatural. “Camping site” is also repeated rather than varied. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, but more accurate, natural phrasing would make the letter sound more fluent and confident. Focus on learning common word partnerships and checking spelling before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response attempts both simple and more extended sentence forms, including the reason-and-addition structure in “because you are great lover of adventure, and moreover…” and the conditional advice “so make sure you practice…”. The overall meaning remains clear. However, errors occur across sentence patterns and sometimes make the phrasing awkward. Examples include “you are great lover” (missing an article), “in camping their is problem” (incorrect there/their and missing articles), and “camping require” (subject–verb agreement). The final sentence, “make this summer for memorable,” also has an incorrect construction. Review articles, agreement, and sentence patterns, and use full stops to avoid joining too many ideas in one sentence. More consistently accurate sentences would strengthen the range you are already attempting.
