Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
The letter is only minimally responsive to the requested advice. It gives a general reason camping might be enjoyable, mentioning the summer weather, scenery and making memories, and it says you plan to go camping. However, it does not clearly explain why your friend in particular would enjoy it, and it gives no possible disadvantages, which is a major part of the task. The invitation is also unclear: “I will go to camping” describes your own plan but does not directly say whether you would like to go with your friend. To improve, address each bullet explicitly, for example by describing a drawback such as insects or uncomfortable sleeping, then clearly inviting your friend to join you.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is some basic sequencing: you introduce a camping plan, mention equipment and the summer season, and then describe enjoying the trip and taking pictures. The ideas are generally related to camping, but they are not arranged into clear paragraphs or a well-shaped letter, and the response moves between your plans and general comments without clear transitions. For example, “The next week our manager give the vacction” is followed by a list of items and then a broad statement about tourists. The ending, “Thank u / your scincerly,” provides a basic sign-off, but the letter does not clearly return to your friend’s request. Group the reasons, disadvantages and invitation into separate sections, using simple links such as “However” and “Would you like to come?”
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses a small range of relevant words, including “camping,” “tent,” “food,” “clothes,” “summer season” and “memories,” so the general topic is identifiable. It also attempts descriptive language such as “elegent moments” and “final destination,” but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, and spelling errors such as “vaccations,” “tommarrow,” “faimly” and “scincerly” make the message less clear and polished. Some phrases, including “enjoy on trip” and “mosty tourist,” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Build a more accurate set of everyday camping expressions and check spelling; for instance, use “enjoy the trip,” “popular with tourists” and “beautiful scenery.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
There are attempts to connect ideas in longer sentences, but control of basic sentence forms is inconsistent, and errors often make the reader work to understand the message. Examples include “you was asked me,” “our manager give,” “i Think i goes,” and “when i reache … i fell,” where verb forms and tense are not controlled. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also unreliable, with several ideas joined together without clear stops. Most structures are simple, and the longer attempts do not yet show reliable control. Practise accurate present and past forms, subject–verb agreement and complete sentences: for example, “You asked me about my holiday” and “Our manager gave us six days off.”
