Dear Karan,

I hope you are doing well. Thanks for your letter. I'm glad to hear that you are thinking of going on a camping holiday by all youself for the first time.

Campings always fascinates me and I'm quite sure you will also adore it because it provides you with a peace of mind when you enjoy yourself in nature. Moreover, as I know you are a fitness enthusiast so you will enjoy the long walks before setting up a camp.

However, don't forget to take essential equipments such as lighter, knife and warmer. In addtion, waterproof boots and tents are also crucial. You might find setting up a tent frustrating, that's the majot drawback for an amature campers.

I wouls love to go with you if you feel comfertable because I was also planning to visit a Ricky Mountains because those hills have some good camp sites.

I hope you find my advice helpful. Let me know how things go.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points: you explain that camping offers “peace of mind” in nature and suits Karan’s interest in fitness, mention the challenge of putting up a tent, and say you would like to join him. The friendly tone and direct advice are appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others. The disadvantages are mainly implied through the tent-setting difficulty, while the list of equipment is advice rather than an explanation of possible drawbacks. Your willingness to go is clear, but the reference to visiting the Rocky Mountains could be connected more directly to a definite summer plan. Expanding these points would make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall arrangement: an opening, reasons to enjoy camping, practical advice and a drawback, followed by your offer to join and a friendly closing. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and transitions such as “Moreover,” “However,” and “In addition” make relationships between ideas clear. This already gives the response a coherent progression. To make the organisation more flexible and polished, avoid relying on a sequence of explicit linking phrases and connect related points more naturally. For example, the equipment advice and the difficulty of setting up a tent could be grouped as practical challenges, with a clearer transition from the benefits to the disadvantages. The final paragraph could also link your invitation more smoothly to the proposed destination.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range for the topic, including “fitness enthusiast,” “waterproof boots,” “setting up a tent,” and “camp sites.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and attempts such as “adore” and “frustrating” show some willingness to use more expressive vocabulary. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy: “Campings,” “equipments,” “addtion,” “majot,” “amature,” “wouls,” “comfertable,” and “Ricky Mountains.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “provides you with a peace of mind” and “visit a Ricky Mountains.” Use standard forms such as “camping,” “equipment,” and “the Rocky Mountains,” and check collocations so that your vocabulary sounds natural as well as varied.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, and several sentences are clear, including “I hope you are doing well” and “You might find setting up a tent frustrating.” The reason clause beginning “because” and the conditional “if you feel comfortable” also show some range. Some grammatical errors remain, though they rarely prevent understanding. For example, “by all youself” should be “by yourself,” and “that's the major drawback for an amateur campers” has a number mismatch; write “a major drawback for amateur campers.” In “I was also planning to visit a Ricky Mountains,” the article and noun phrase need correction, for example, “I was also planning to visit the Rocky Mountains.” Continue checking articles, singular/plural agreement, and sentence construction.
