Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the prompt: you explain the appeal through curiosity, solving mysteries, suspense, and learning about criminal behaviour, then state that you view the trend positively. The example of Savdhan India helps make the awareness point concrete. However, the opinion is less fully developed than the explanation of popularity. The claims that crime dramas encourage the film industry and make the public aware are repeated but not explained in detail, and the assertion that they may “help to decrease crime activities” needs clearer support. To strengthen the response, develop one or two benefits with a specific explanation or example, and make the link between crime fiction and positive social effects more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining popularity, a paragraph giving your opinion, and a conclusion. Ideas within the main explanatory paragraph generally progress from mystery-solving to suspense and then public awareness. Linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “For instance” help signal these steps. However, the opinion paragraph is brief and repeats the awareness point rather than extending the argument, while the conclusion largely restates the introduction. Some connections are also unclear, as in “which encourage people to stay aware and help others victims around you.” Use clearer references and make each paragraph perform a distinct role: explain the reasons, develop your evaluation, and conclude by summarising the main argument without simply repeating it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “human fascination,” “murder mysteries,” “piecing together clues,” “suspenseful thriller,” and “criminal behaviour.” These choices show some range beyond basic description. However, spelling and word-choice errors are frequent enough to make the writing less fluent, for example “mystry,” “dectectives,” “crimals,” and “cirme.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “like to aware about criminal nature,” “feel the danger,” and “decrease crime activities.” Aim to learn topic vocabulary in accurate phrases, not as isolated words. Proofread spelling carefully and choose natural collocations, such as “raise awareness of crime” or “reduce criminal activity,” so your meaning is expressed more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and more developed sentence forms, including a relative clause in “stories that are true” and a reason-and-result structure in the sentence about feeling suspense from home. The main ideas are usually understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include missing or incorrect articles and plurals in “Audience are naturally drawn to challenge” and “the criminal are punished,” as well as faulty verb forms in “This thrill is mostly comes” and “It has effect the society.” Sentence boundaries and capitalization also need attention, particularly the lowercase “it” after the first full stop and the comma splice-like flow in the opening paragraph. Review subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb patterns, then check each sentence for a complete, correctly punctuated structure.
